The Business Objects User Group (BOUG) was started by Bruce Blattenberger in the early 90’s and consisted of periodic meetings held at the Brentwood Parks & Recreation Building on South Brentwood Road. In 1995 Bruce enlisted the help of Sheila Ryan (an active committee member to this day) and the two of them took the local BO world by storm. As the interest in BO continued to grow it was clear a dedicated BOUG committee would be necessary, so Bruce and Sheila teamed up with other local power users from Anheuser-Busch and Southwestern Bell. Over time, the BOUG meetings were moved to more spacious accomodations at the Richmond Heights Center and local partnerships were developed with companies like Sense Corp, EV Technologies, etc. Today, the BOUG is headed by a dedicated group of local BO professionals...see the Steering Committee bios for more info.
